The J.Lo Capsule Wardrobe: Everything She's Wearing on Repeat Right Now
Jennifer Lopez—singer, songwriter, actor, designer, and businesswoman—has been a style icon since the '90s. Who can forget about the iconic green Versace gown she wore to the 2000 Grammys? Or perhaps you're partial to the all-white ensemble she wore to the VMAs that she styled with a bandana and a jewel-encrusted belt? You might even prefer one of her more recent fashion choices, such as the canary yellow Giambattista Valli gown-and-cape combo she wore to the 2016 Golden Globes. Like we said before, she's had some truly iconic fashion moments.
These days, her style is just as eye-catching, but it's also evolved to be sleeker and more powerful. It's reflective of the boss that she is. After we dissected her current style, we can say with certainty that it rests on a few staple pieces (well, six to be exact). Keep scrolling to see the J.Lo capsule wardrobe, spotlighting everything she's wearing on repeat right now.
1. Statement Sunglasses
J.Lo is a big fan of statement sunglasses. Whether she's wearing big embellished aviators or reflective shield-style sunglasses, she finishes off almost every single outfit with a pair of shades.
Here, it looks like she's wearing a pair of sunglasses from her collaboration with Quay. These appear to be the Quay x J.Lo Get Right Sunglasses ($60).
These yellow shield sunnies look like they were designed with J.Lo in mind.
2. Printed and/or Colorful Workout Leggings
This is the same picture as before; it's just zoomed out. It's no secret that Lopez hits the gym (she's in spectacular shape). As such, she's regularly seen in athletic gear—namely, workout leggings.
It's not often you see her in plain black workout leggings, though. No, J.Lo appreciates colorful and printed pairs. She wears them with neutral tank tops and sweatshirts and white sneakers.
Something about this pastel snakeskin print seems very on-brand for J. Lo.
These printed leggings are a steal at only $35 per pair.
3. (Faux)-Fur Detailing
Though we're not sure whether or not this is real or faux fur, we do know that J.Lo loves a furry outfit detail. Here, she incorporates fur into her outfit with this long vest.
It's not just full-fur pieces she wears. J.Lo also loves a fur detail, as proven by this pink V-neck sweater.
We're pretty sure J.Lo would approve of this faux-fur leopard-print jacket.
New Yorkers, this one's for you. This thick, faux-fur coat looks like the perfect companion for East Coast winters.
4. Cropped Suits
Remember how we said Lopez's style is polished and professional, which reflects the businesswoman she is? Here's more proof. Her cropped, belted trousers give an extra J.Lo flair to an otherwise standard suit.
Another day, another cropped suit. This time, J.Lo wears a slim silk lapel blazer with cropped trousers. There are those statement sunglasses again…
A J.Lo-inspired look is as easy as pulling on this pair of salmon-pink pants, pairing them with the matching Contrast Button Jacket ($130), and sliding into some sky-high stilettos.
5. Structured Handbag
The iconic Hermes Birkin bag is beloved by many celebrities—including Lopez. She's been seen on multiple occasions walking around with the structured bag in hand.
This bag is slightly smaller than the one above, but that doesn't mean it's not as sleek and stylish. In fact, the glossy black leather gives it an elevated vibe.
While a Birkin isn't affordable for many of us, Michael Kors's relatively affordable Mercer tote has a similarly polished design.
Another good dupe for a Birkin is Tory Burch's Lee Radziwill bag, which has similar clean lines and metal detailing.
6. Monochromatic Outfits
Over the years, one thing has been made especially apparent: J.Lo loves a monochromatic moment. Whether it's heather gray, vermillion, or chartreuse (see above!), she likes to pick a color and commit to it.
This fiery head-to-toe look is one of our all-time favorites. Everything matches, from her glasses all the way to her orange stilettos.
This peacock green blazer looks like something J. Lo would wear—perhaps with a pair of gold hoop earrings, Louboutin stilettos, and the matching trousers.
Take J.Lo's monochromatic style and make it work-appropriate with this dress, which is polished and professional.
Next, this is how nine stylish celebs pull off ankle boots in the summer.
