Over the past few months, fishnet stockings have been popping onto the legs (and arms, thanks to Kendall Jenner) of celebrities and street-stylers alike. Fishnet stockings probably make you think of dancing concerts and bad '80s dress up costumes—but the way we're spotting the trend now is entirely different. 

Rather than wearing fishnets as full stockings, they're being worn purely as an added style element—like an accessory. They're being paired under ripped jeans (so you can see them poke out through the rip), layered under socks, or worn as socks with heels or loafers.
