The H&M Bridesmaid Dresses Your Best Friends Will Actually Thank You For
We’ve all seen the film 27 Dresses, haven’t we? If not, you’ve probably experienced the difficult process of bridesmaid-dress shopping in one way or another, whether it involved finding something that suits everyone for your own wedding or searching for one that wasn’t totally hideous to wear for your BFF’s nuptials. You might even be going through that exact scenario right now, but don’t worry—if that’s the case, you’ve come to the right place to find a solution to the whole palaver.
H&M just released a line of bridesmaid dresses as part of its recent spring drop—and let me tell you, they’re good. Like, "I’m one of 12 bridesmaids for my friend’s wedding this summer, and every single one of us just agreed on them” good. Of course, it depends on the colour scheme and vibe of the wedding, since each one is so different these days. But if you’ve been searching for some classic dresses that come in a few different shapes to suit different body types and a range of classic neutrals that go with everything, I’m urging you not to sleep on these new H&M styles.
There are light pinky beige, light grey and light turquoise options in strappy slip, halterneck and wrap dress shapes (the latter being perfect for wearing a bra with). And since I tried each one, I can attest to the fact that they’re all lovely. The size range is impressive too, going up to a size 22 or XXL. For reference, I’m a size 10 right now, and the strappy one I settled on fit true to size with handy adjustable straps; the halterneck fit a little snug on the hips in my usual size, so I’d probably size up; and the wrap fit a little on the loose side, so it really depends if you prefer a more relaxed or fitted look. The best part about them? I think you could totally wear them again, and I’ve styled mine up below with some alternative outfits to prove it. Coming in at £50 and under, they’re hard to argue with, which any bride would be thankful for.
Keep scrolling to see them and shop.
How I'll Be Wearing Mine for the Wedding and Afterwards
This colour might benefit from a spray tan on me, but the shape was so flattering, even on someone who is usually fearful of figure-hugging slip dresses.
If I were going to another black-tie event, or maybe just a fancy date night‚ I'd wear it with this Arket blazer and Totême belt.
It even works with this cosy & Other Stories knit thrown over it and some knee-high boots for brunch or the pub.
