For a young person working in fashion, it's easy to constantly spend on low-quality items to keep up with appearances. So far, I haven't fallen into that trap. I'm an older Gen Zer, so I take how I spend very seriously, even with the clothes I purchase.

Among all my stylish friends, I'm the most frugal, often thinking over a purchase for weeks before deciding to make it. Sometimes I wait so long that the item sells out, and while it stings a little not to have that instant dopamine rush, I know in the long run this shopping method works best for me.

Over the past few months, I've been on a no-buy streak, saving money to splurge on a few items that I absolutely know are worth it. I'm talking about high-quality, long-lasting fashion items that I'll keep and pass down.
