Every season there's a new MVP. Last year, the brown suede trend stole the show, everywhere I turned it was all about buttery chocolate bombers, soft knee boots in espresso and brown suede tote bags (ahem Toteme). I'll be honest, I'm still the number one fan (and probably always will be), but lately there's a new suede tone quietly taking the title: khaki. I've started spotting it everywhere—on my feed, in cafés, at Fashion Week—and it feels like the next natural step in the neutral renaissance. From boxy jackets and ankle boots to oversized tote bags, khaki suede is giving the same understated luxury as brown, just with a slightly fresher, cooler twist.
