Not the Lady, Not the Saddle—The New Dior Bag That Will Define Fall 2026
It's already been spotted on fashion people in NYC and Copenhagen.
Dior is one of the classic European fashion houses with a long list of truly iconic handbags. There's the Lady Dior, which debuted in 1995 and became one of the world's most recognizable designer bags; the Saddle, launched in 1999, which defined the early 2000s; and the Book Tote, introduced in 2018, arguably the brand's biggest new bag launch since the Saddle. While all three remain core parts of Dior's handbag lineup, a new design is quietly shaping up to join their ranks: the Dior Toujours—or should I say the reinvented Toujours.
The Dior Toujours is a tote bag designed by former creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri and introduced as part of the house's spring/summer 2023 collection. When it debuted, it received plenty of attention because it was Dior's first major everyday tote in several years. Today, it remains beloved for its understated design, supple leather, and practical shape. However, with Jonathan Anderson now at the helm, carving a new path for the brand, he has reimagined the Toujours for his fall/winter 2026 collection, giving it a fresh "hobo" silhouette complete with a removable shoulder strap.
With September just around the corner and the new collections gradually arriving in stores and online, the reinvented Toujours is now available to buy, and the fashion set has been quick to snap it up. We've already spotted it on celebrities like Monica Barbaro, who carried the small white style in NYC and paired it with a blue gingham matching skirt set. The updated design has also caught the attention of those overseas. During Copenhagen Fashion Week for the spring/summer 2027 season, one attendee styled it with a crisp white jacket, purple pleated pants, and embellished sandals.
