My Best Friend Is Also a Fashion Editor—She Told Me to Try These Weekend Outfits
For those of you who aren't aware, one of my fellow editors, Sierra Mayhew, happens to be one of my closest friends. Before I started working here at Who What Wear, the two of us met one day through mutual friends at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on the Upper East Side. Very New York City of us.
Since meeting and sharing a love for all things NYC and fashion, we have become each other's go-to for fashion advice and outfit ideas. Lately, I have been needing to up my weekend-wardrobe game, and naturally, Sierra was the first person in my contact list to reach out to. Sierra and I have different senses of style with some crossover. For example, we may adore the same pair of summer sandals and style them in totally different ways. When I was seeking new outfit inspiration, Sierra gave me a list of her six go-to outfit ideas for a weekend outing.
Since she shared these super-stylish and easy outfit ideas with me, I thought I'd pass them on to you. Keep scrolling to see the looks approved by not one Who What Wear editor but two.
Cargo Pants + Corset Top
These two trends paired together are such a stylish combo. I love how cool I feel when I wear this outfit. Plus, it's great for day or night.
Wide-Leg Pants + Sheer Long-Sleeve Top
This is a fashion-person outfit for sure. I'd wear this on an evening out with friends in New York.
Midi Dress + Blazer
Here's a romantic yet stylish look that you can never go wrong with. This is my go-to outfit for brunch or a daytime date.
Micro Miniskirt + Button-Down Shirt
This may be my favorite look out of all of Sierra's suggestions. In this outfit, I feel stylish, confident, and on-trend.
Maxi Dress + Strappy Sandals
This outfit will be my look for the summer. You can wear it everywhere, from vacation to your everyday errands, and it can be shopped from so many great retailers.
Tailored Vest + Loose Jeans
This is the ultimate casual cool-girl look for summer. I'll be styling this with my favorite sneakers for daytime and heeled mules at night.
