Every Single BAFTAs Red Carpet Look You Need to See

The BAFTAs is the one red carpet during award season where stars experiment and wear something a little more daring than safe champagne-colored strapless gowns, embracing London's famed eccentric and rule-breaking approach to fashion. This year it seems like many of the stars were inspired by the theatrical costumes in the nominated film The Favourite, as the red carpet was filled with oversize bows, tulle full skirts, elaborate ruffles, and dramatically winged eye shadow. The Favorite star Rachel Weisz stayed true to the aesthetic of her film in an angelic frothy gown by Gucci while Margot Robbie, Lily Collins, and Thandie Newton's looks also reminded us of the celebrated film.

Hollywood royalty was joined by actual royalty at the ceremony, as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were the last to walk the red carpet at the Royal Albert Hall. Kate wore a white flowing gown with a nipped-in waist and flowers along one shoulder with a pair of silver glittery Jimmy Choo heels. Other headlining looks include Olivia Colman's black-and-white sleeved Emilia Wickstead gown with a sweeping cape-like train cascading from the waist and Cate Blanchett's fitted black Christopher Kane dress with oversize colorful gems in build into the cutout neckline resembling a necklace.

This isn't just a night to celebrate the British film industry, as London-based designers also took center stage. Many actresses chose to wear British labels, including Stella McCartney, Roksanda, Christopher Kane, and Emilia Wickstead. Keep scrolling to see the best red carpet looks from this year's EE BAFTAs.
