Amal Clooney Just Made a Sheer Corset Dress Look So Elegant

Amal Clooney generally prefers sleek, classic looks as opposed to trend-driven outfits, but her latest was a tad more daring than usual—and we're all for it. She wore Jonathan Simkhai's sold-out Sheer Chantilly Lace Bustier Midi Dress ($940), which comes complete with a beautiful built-in bustier and see-through sleeves and skirt. Although a sheer bustier dress might seem hard to pull off, Clooney made it look thoroughly elegant with the addition of a nude slip underneath. Leave it to Clooney to put her polished stamp on a controversial trend.

Clooney also carried the Gabriela Hearst Nina Bag, an It bag that's also Meghan Markle–approved. Perhaps the two have swapped fashion tips at some point? After all, Clooney attended both the royal wedding and Markle's NYC baby shower. Now that's a power duo right there.
