Arguably the best thing about fashion month is that we get to see new outfits from Alexa Chung and Olivia Palermo almost every day of the week. Yesterday, on the first day of New York Fashion Week, Alexa got this off to a cracking start, wearing an ensemble we want to copy ASAP.
She chose a business-ready grey suit with an oversize jacket and ankle-grazing trousers, cinched at the waist with a black studded belt. It's the unexpected accessories that make this look: See the grey shearling scarf artfully slung over her left shoulder and her Hillier Bartley Bunny clutch bag swinging from her right hand? Very precise indeed.
But our favourite thing about this whole ensemble is what's on her feet. Instead of the smart pair of court shoes or loafers you'd expect to see with sharp suiting, Alexa dressed the look down in typical London style with a pair of white scuffed Converse trainers.
