This Starry Event Just Gave Me So Many Wedding Guest Outfit Ideas
Wedding season is upon us, and although we've got plenty of tricks and tips on how to dress for various nuptials, sometimes you just need that little bit more inspiration to find just the right look. Thankfully, the celebrity gods have been smiling on us and have delivered some incredible outfits by way of the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic event that was held over the weekend.
This year the likes of Jennifer Lawrence and Julianne Moore were in attendance along with plenty of models and influencers. If you've ever seen that episode of Gossip Girl where the whole gang attends the polo (season three, episode one, super-fans), you'll be more than aware of how fabulous this event can be when it comes to fashion. This isn't about flawless red carpet–style looks and is a slightly more laid-back affair, although that doesn't mean everyone isn't wearing their best.
From pink dresses to lilac suits, with plenty of floral options in between, these polo ensembles are giving us some of the best wedding guest outfit inspiration we've seen in a while. So what better way to start Monday than to trawl through this gallery of incredible ideas for all those nuptials you've got coming up this summer?
Style Notes: Just the right shade of pink—not too pale to be mistaken for a wedding dress.
Style Notes: One of the best styles of dresses to wear for a wedding. It's not too short and shows off the right amount of décolletage.
Style Notes: This one is a little more out there, so perhaps one for an evening invite-only, but the long sleeves on this crop top make it wedding-appropriate.
Style Notes: Suits are still going strong. For weddings, the ideal is a pastel hue.
Style Notes: Julianne Moore will forever be one of our style icons. The dress itself is ideal for a summer wedding, but the black blazer gives it a chic edge.
Style Notes: Rebel Wilson got the polka-dot dress memo.
Style Notes: There's nothing in the wedding guest outfit rulebook that says short hemlines are a no-no, but a low heel paired with it makes it appear much more demure, as seen on model Julia Belyakova (left). We also love how model Chey Carty is wearing a pair of loafers with her slip dress.

Style Notes: Long sleeves are still a great option for UK weddings.
Style Notes: Calling all destination wedding guests, this one's for you.
Style Notes: The knot detail on the front is a cute addition to this floral midi, and the wedge sandals are perfect for navigating the grass.
Style Notes: As usual Christina Hendricks looks utterly fabulous.
Style Notes: The one sleeve on this frock gives it the edge it needs.
Style Notes: Pretty Woman–inspired? There's nothing wrong with that.
Style Notes: Florals are always a good idea, and Aimee Song's Zimmermann dress is a classic.
Trust us, these are the nine new-in pieces you need to see this week.
