Victoria Beckham Just Made Her Own Moisturiser With This Skincare Professor
It's official: I am totally obsessed with Victoria Beckham's skin. From forgoing my own carefully honed skincare routine for an entire week in favour of switching to VB's (no hardship, I'm sure you'll agree) to fine-combing her Instagram for the very best skincare tips direct from the lady herself, there's no arguing with the fact that I take a Beckham beauty recommendation incredibly seriously.
So when Victoria Beckham Beauty finally landed back in September, I have to confess that I felt a little (okay, a lot) letdown with the fact that there was no skincare offering from the brand. Sure, the contents of Victoria's makeup bag are definitely of interest to me—so it's no surprise that Beckham launched with smokey eye palettes and nude lip liners that are synonymous with her trademark beauty look, but it's VB's skincare that I've always been most interested in.
Well, luckily for me, the wait is over with Victoria Beckham's very first skincare launch dropping today. But what can we expect?
First things first, the product in question has been created in collaboration with the man behind Victoria's favourite £205 moisturiser, Professor Augustinus Bader. Celebrities and makeup artists swear by his cult product—Augustinus Bader The Cream (£205)—so it makes sense that VB would want to bring someone with industry gravitas and scientific know-how on board for the launch of her first skincare product.
"It was an honour to collaborate with Victoria for her first skin launch," Professor Bader announced on Instagram. "I'm excited to share some of the skincare benefits in this product. It's the first product of its kind to care for your skin cells while also preparing your skin for makeup application."
And Beckham is equally gushing about the collaboration. "It's been a dream to develop with Augustinus a priming moisturiser that works to improve the health of my skin and gives me that fresh, natural glow that I love," Beckham explained.
Yes, that's right—the product in question is a moisturiser called the Victoria Beckham Beauty Cell Rejuvenating Priming Moisturizer (£140). Formulated to enhance Victoria's own glowing skin, the luxury product harnesses Professor Bader's own skincare technology—made famous by his own moisturiser—to support cell turnover and improve radiance from deep within the skin itself. Basically, if it's glow that you're after then look no further.
For luminous skin to rival Victoria's, Team VB recommend that you smooth 1–2 pumps of the Cell Rejuvenating Priming Moisturizer over your face and neck each day. Wearing it alone lends a subtle, healthy sheen to the skin but it's also been specially formulated to layer beneath makeup and add luminosity—as well as enhancing the overall performance of your other products.
It launches today at 4 p.m. on Victoria Beckham Beauty, and I might just be joining the queue myself.
