Bright Colors

"For fall we're seeing a major trend in brighter colors like our racer blue. We're also seeing a lot patchwork, two-tone details, and zippers!" — Eleanor Haycock, Co-Founder of Year of Ours

"These bright shades when paired with black are perfect to wear now! (It's July, after all!). Bright shades with black or navy create a perfect transition into fall months." — Christina DiBernardo, Creative Director of JoyLab

Lounge Leggings

"Our super-cozy High-Waist Alosoft Legging is a major favorite for fall because it's velvety soft and also keeps up in practice. It's made from our plush, luxe jersey fabric, Alosoft, and has four-way stretch and wicking technology. You can practice, lounge, and essentially live in it all season long!" — Alo Design Team

Weightless & Seamless

"Everyone wants to feel and look great in their leggings—both in the studio and beyond—but it's an especially popular request come fall. All of Alo's weightless, body-mapping, seamless leggings give that great off-duty look. Plus, they're engineered to fit like a second skin, move with you, and feel amazing! Our new High-Waist Distressed Seamless Legging transitions perfectly from studio to street, with all the studio benefits of seamless combined with forward distressed details." — Alo Design Team

"Considering that our first fall deliveries happen in July, we wanted to assure [the JoyLab customer] the ability to find pieces that she can buy and wear immediately through the hottest months. One of the design team's favorites is a perfect-flow V-neck tee made in one of the lightest, coolest fabrics we could find. We are have been wearing it day and night through the recent NY and L.A. heat waves. Another favorite is a super-soft and light rib in tops. Both pair up nicely with our open-hole, seamless leggings to beat the heat. There are also some featherweight jackets for when the evenings start to cool off." — Christina DiBernardo, Creative Director of JoyLab

"For fall, we love enhanced engineering (activity-specific waistbands, mapped sculpting, refined ventilation solutions, and expanded options for storage)." — Karen Pornillos, Fashion Director and Vice President of Design for Fabletics

Graphics

"We have some checkerboard and moto graphics coming in through our fall 2018 collection as well. The design is very graphic, speedy, and sleek!" — Denise Lee, Founder and CEO of Alala

"There's no question that details like graphics and lacing are major trends for fall, and that applies to leggings as well. This season we created fresh graphics for styles like the High-Waist Airbrush Legging that you can wear to practice and then pair with a cool crop and sneakers for running around town post-yoga. We're also debuting the High Line Lace-Up Legging, which takes the laced look to extremes in a really exciting way.” — Alo Design Team

"We love the graphic nature of mixing vibrant geo prints and florals. This almost disruptive approach to color and pattern finds an unexpectedly energetic look." — Christina DiBernardo, Creative Director of JoyLab

"Leggings are no longer just what you wear to the gym or paired with a statement piece. They are now the statement piece. The trend is here to stay and this fall brands are getting bold with fun prints like color blocking, leopard, camo, mixed metals, and metallics. They are also going toward retro trends with side taping, large logos, velour, and terry cotton. Seven-eighth lengths and high-waists are still very on trend. At Six:02, we love that leggings allowing women to dress comfortably and confidently no matter where their day takes them." — Kirta Carroll, Vice President of Brand Marketing at Six:02

Textured Black

"Some prominent legging trends that I have been seeing are textured black leggings and motocross-inspired styles. In a quest for non-basic black leggings, I think textured black leggings are going to be big this fall. At Alala, we have a black lace legging launching that is super easy to wear but still a very special piece." — Denise Lee, Founder and CEO of Alala

"Black-on-black textures, such as matte with shine, are definitively sophisticated, giving edge to the perfect pieces. It takes classic black to the next level, like the perfect LBD but for workouts." — Christina DiBernardo, Creative Director of JoyLab
