This Princess Diana Signature Outfit Just Became Relevant Again

Princess Diana's style has never been more relevant, as proved by Off-White's latest collection, which was a riff on all of Diana's signatures. But there's one Princess Di look in particular that really seems to be sticking in 2018: the pastel miniskirt suit. Tailoring has been big news this year, but it has—until now—been all about the trouser suit. However, skirts and co-ordinating jackets are what we'll be wearing next.

They might have a reputation for being overly corporate and boxy, however, skirt suits are actually more flattering than you might think. The key to making the skirt suit seem current is to opt for a jacket with a nipped-in waist and a defined silhouette. Also, look for a colourful or gingham option that features a miniskirt with slits on the side. Off-White's baby-blue skirt suit (directly inspired by Princess Diana) was worn with sunglasses on a chain, sports socks and sunglasses. This ensemble artfully mixed Princess D's public uniform with her everyday Kensington look.
