As evidenced by a slew of influencers, the best-dressed celebrities, and top fashion houses, the racing and Formula One fashion influence is vast. Whether it be sporty shades, motorcycle gloves, or pit-crew jumpsuits, motorsports have staked their claim in modern-day fashion. The most attainable and probably most frequently worn piece right now—especially in New York—is the leather moto or bomber jacket.

The current climate in the North East is full-coat weather, but when the coolest New Yorkers strip off their top layer, you’d be surprised at how many are donning a version of a vintage-style sporty jacket underneath. Stars like Bella Hadid, Rosalía, Kylie Jenner, Justine Skye, and Dua Lipa have already worn the trend (to name a few) as well as major influencers like Emili Sindlev, Camille Charriere, and Sofia Coelho. Many designers are indulging in the trend as well including Diesel, Dior, Ferrari, and Miu Miu.

I’ve sought out the best on the market for this trend, for both your shopping pleasure and mine. Scroll down to shop the jackets I have my eye on.
