I Dare You to Scroll Through This Colourful Shopping Edit Without Smiling

According to MATCHESFASHION's spring/summer 2021 report, the joyful every day is set to be a key fashion theme for the coming year, and after a long year of lockdown, this is exactly what we need right now. "If there is one thing that has made me smile, it has been seeing bright bursts of colour on Zoom calls," explains Fashion and Buying Director Natalie Kingham. "Many designers worked with a bold palette for spring, including some brilliant day dresses by Valentino, which will translate well however you want to wear them. We also saw bright colour via tie-dye at the Elder Statesman and even the humble Ugg was updated by Molly Goddard in rich green, red, and orange."
This week only, model-turned-actor Jodie Turner-Smith created a shopping edit for Matches, which is packed full of stylish, colour-saturated buys. Her personality-packed ensembles couldn't help but lift our spirits. "Fashion is a costume and, like any costume, gives you an opportunity to play," Turner-Smith says in an interview. "And how can play not enhance your mood?"
There were certain hues in particular that stood out to us as we scrolled through both Turner-Smith's edit and the site's new-in section: stop-sign red, grass green, pastel pink, and rainbow brights (no, not technically one colour, but hey-ho). Inspired by the mood-boosting potential of this new season palette, we've put together a shopping edit of pieces grouped by these fabulous hues. Scroll down to see what we picked and prepare to get those endorphins pumping.
