Marc Jacobs Had the Best Reaction to Attending His First Chanel Show

Marc Jacobs is one of the biggest names in fashion, but even he has trouble scoring an invite to the Chanel show during Paris Fashion Week. Until now, that is. Jacobs just revealed on Instagram that he attended his very first Chanel show, excitedly posting a video at the venue. "Look where we are!! My dream come true- my first Chanel show!!!! Merci mille fois Karl!" he captioned the post.

Jacobs also commented on the Instagram with a more detailed explanation and shared his gratitude at receiving the invite: "This is the first time I was invited," Jacobs wrote in the comments section. "Karl doesn’t like other designers at his shows. It was a great privilege and honor to be there. He is the most extraordinary man in every way. Legend is an understatement. Unfollow me all you want. I have nothing but reverence and the utmost respect for him and what he has given and continuously gives fashion. I wish people who comment on here would do their homework before texting their comments." Read on to see the post in full.

Erin Fitzpatrick
Senior News Editor

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 12 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of senior news editor (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
