Kate Moss for Equipment: You Can Finally Shop the Whole Collaboration
Who wouldn't want a perfect pajama shirt with Kate Moss's official seal of approval? What about a slip dress? Or the chicest leopard-printed silk you ever did see? There's no denying the continued allure Mossy and her signature style holds, and we are forever thankful that the clever people at Los Angeles–based, French-spirited purveyor of top-notch button-downs (and so much more), Equipment, approached the supermodel for a collaboration.
We've now lived (and shopped) through many a collection under the watchful eye of the British icon, and this range, like every one before it, doesn't disappoint. In fact, it's now fulfilling our more grown-up needs whilst still winking towards parties or KM-style wild nights (and days) that are yet to come. These are the kind of slightly twisted staples you could wear to brunch, to the boardroom, to the mudpits of Glastonbury or a swanky do in a Parisian jazz bar. Just what a girl about town needs, right?
How did it come about? Well, as Kate Moss explained to Vogue.com's Sarah Mower: "The Equipment people brought the shirts, and I reshaped them a bit and talked about the prints and how the pockets should be. I like having a part in designing something. Clothes are my thing. I like to talk about them, touch the fabric, see what feels right. I wanted the lightning bolt print—very Bowie—and the stars and the anchors."

Turns out, Mossy has long been a fan of the brand: "I like that girl/boy thing. I’m a tomboy, really; I was always stealing Jamie’s [Hince] Equipment shirts. They’re just easy to wear, to pull on as a cover-up or whatever. The fabric just sits on your skin so nicely." And even better, this isn't a one-time-only affair. Kate confirms that next season is already in the works, "I was looking in a secondhand shop in Brazil and found all these ’70s shirts. It’s going to be really colorful for spring!"
And now Kate Moss for Equipment is available on Net-a-Porter to shop for yourself, with the classic shirts adorned with stars, stripes and lightning bolts, moving up to cashmere sweaters embroidered with a 'KM' monogram or a sassy set of silky, printed PJs.
