J.Lo Wore the Baggy Trend That Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle Both Love

When a pop star, duchess, and fashion editor all agree on the same trend, you know it's a good one. On Wednesday, Jennifer Lopez was photographed at the Avra Rockefeller Center for a party celebrating her new Netflix documentary, Halftime. She wore a pair of fabulously slouchy white Tom Ford trousers, which immediately made me think of looks from Meghan Markle, Kate Middleton, and Emmanuelle Alt.

Markle wore a similarly oversize white pantsuit to the Invictus Games reception back in April, while Kate Middleton wore her version of the baggy-trouser trend on her royal tour of the Caribbean in March. To top it all off, my TikTok of two French fashion editors wearing coordinating billowing pants went positively viral with 2.3 million views and counting. With these chic women's approval, it's safe to say that this trend has staying power. Scroll down to see their looks and shop white trousers for yourself.

Associate Director, Fashion News

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 13 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
