How to Dress for a Holiday by the Sea, According to Sara Donaldson

How many times have you been told to whip out your bright and floral pieces for a summer getaway? Truth be told, I think I’ve told you myself… but if that’s not ‘you’, then we’re here to show you another way to do a beachside holiday.

Sara Donaldson, of Harper & Harley has long been a supporter of neutral dressing—and in a recent shoot with Edwards & Co (to show off her shorter-do) for Who What Wear Australia, she makes the case for soft linens, easy throw-ons, and a classic black bikini.

If you’re going coastal for the summer break, chances are you’ll be sweltering in the hot Australian sun (fingers crossed), so reach for cooling whites and loose separates that you can throw on after a day on the sand.
