Yep, This 86-Year-Old Funeral Director Is Now a Fashion Star

Never be fooled into thinking that fashion is only for young people. From over-60 fashion bloggers to older street style stars, we never turn down an opportunity to turn the spotlight on the more mature crowd, and now, we've officially found our new style obsession thanks to Helmut Lang's new fall campaign.

"Margaret is an 86-year-old Welsh woman, and grandmother to @_charlottejames_," the brand explained on its Instagram. "She is a retired funeral director and is very proud of being from Wales, despite the weather."

Wearing an oversize blazer, trousers, and perfectly layered gold jewelry, Margaret is the definition of chic. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Helmut Lang also introduced us to two other ladies with impeccable style: 86-year-old Dilys and 66-year-old Puleng. Scroll down to see the chic women and learn their fascinating stories.

Erin Fitzpatrick
Senior News Editor

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 12 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of senior news editor (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
