They’re Here: 7 Fresh Accessories Trends That Will Instantly Elevate Any Classic Summer Look

From playful jelly sandals to elegant silk scarves, I've rounded up seven chic European accessories trends for summer 2025.

With summer officially here, I've started to think about the items I want to invest in to make my warm-weather wardrobe feel fresh. Although a new item of clothing may be the most obvious choice, the truth is that I'm unlikely to branch out from those staple pieces that I feel comfortable and stylish in—think navy linen trousers, black tank tops and white cotton skirts. Luckily for me, I'm a firm believer that even the smallest of items can take your outfit from simple to elevated, and the new season has provided me with a number of trendy but equally timeless accessories to freshen up my classic outfits.

For 2025 in particular, I've looked at some of the most stylish European dressers on my Instagram feed drawing inspiration from Paris and London to Copenhagen and Oslo. And while a basket bag and a pair of fisherman sandals will never date, the coolest dressers are turning to slightly more niche accessory trends that feel just that little bit fresher for 2025, but will also last in your wardrobe for many years to come.

From chunky statement bangles and playful jelly sandals to sleek silk scarves and delicate jewellery, keep scrolling to see the seven fresh accessory trends that I've spotted on European fashion people for summer 2025.

1. Resin Bangles

Style Notes: Resin bangles have been around since the seventies, but this bold accessory is no longer associated with the boho aesthetic like it once was. For 2025, these chunky bracelets can be stacked up to add interest to even the most minimalist of outfits.

2. Jelly Sandals

Style Notes: As someone who grew up in the early noughties jelly sandals were a key part of my younger years, and I'm glad to say that they're back for 2025. Unlike the glittery styles that we all probably owned when we were younger, European fashion people are turning to more pared-back, simple styles that perfectly balance playfulness with sophistication.

3. Statement Ring

Style Notes: Any stylish dresser will tell you that statement jewellery is a fail-proof way to make an outfit look chicer. For 2025, however, fashion people are turning to more delicate styles that still make a statement but look a lot more refined and fit seamlessly into any outfit. Take Annabel's serpentine ring, for example.

4. Cord Necklace

Style Notes: An easy way to add personality to your minimalist summer outfits is with a statement cord necklace. The perfect balance between a nostalgic vibe and a modern appeal, the beauty of this necklace lies in its ability to be worn for both casual and formal occasions alike.

5. Neutral Silk Scarf

Style Notes: Satin scarves are not technically a new trend, however, unlike the bolder-coloured prints we've seen in previous years, stylish dressers are opting for neutral hues that can be incorporated easily into a wider range of summer outfits. Throw over your head as Emmanuelle has, tie around the handle of your tote, or wrap around your waist to add interest to your white-tank-and-linen-trousers combo.

6. Rectangular Sunglasses

Style Notes: Chunky square sunglasses will never date, but if you want to try out a fresh pair, opt for a slightly slimmer rectangular silhouette. This slimmer, slightly more '90s shape will make every outfit look intentional and ultra-chic.

7. Straw Bucket Hat

Style Notes: Arguably the most practical accessory of the bunch, I'm already seeing straw bucket hats everywhere on the streets of London. With the ability to make any outfit look instantly cool, along with the ability to keep you protected from the harsh sun, this is an accessory that you'll pull out year after year.
