New Moms Are Sharing Their Foolproof Maternity Outfits
Here at Who What Wear, we’ve been getting lots of questions from moms-to-be about the best outfits to wear during their pregnancies. Specifically, outfits that are both fashionable while appropriate and professional for the office. To get some expert advice, we turned to some very stylish new moms who have mastered cool maternity looks.
Tapping Sylvana Ward Durrett, Louise Roe, and Paola Alberdi, we asked each of them to share the exact pieces that got them through their pregnancies—outfits that made them feel confident and ready to tackle the workday. From jeans paired with a turtleneck to a T-shirt dress and a blazer, these are their foolproof maternity outfits for the office. Included are pieces from designers you’ve probably shopped before to others that specialize in maternity clothes. Here, get their looks and shop the cute maternity work outfits.
“My staple was a ripped maternity jean for both day and night paired with a striped oversize tee and flats for day and a (kitten!) heel, red lips, and a statement earring for night.”
“There’s no reason to sacrifice comfort or style when it comes to maternity dressing for the office. Invest in the perfect pair of black maternity jeans (I lived in these during my third trimester), paired with a long roll-neck sweater, a classic blazer (worn open to fit the belly of course), chic mule flats, and a structured bag. The best part? The only maternity item is the jeans, and everything else can be recycled from your regular wardrobe.”
“Literally the only thing I wore when I started getting really big during my pregnancy was comfortable dresses. I had basic dresses that I would style with either a trench, blazer, or open cardigan and either sneakers or cute comfy flats. It was the easiest and most comfortable thing, and I feel like it is so versatile. It’s definitely an easy look you can put together for the office and look professional but still stylish.”
