I Don't Usually Wear Color, But These 6 Are Really Speaking to Me Right Now
It’s no secret that I have admittedly simple style. My day-to-day outfits often involve mostly classic basics and relatively few colors, if any, and my shopping habits reflect it. However—there’s always a however, isn’t there?—lately, there are more than a handful of hues that keep showing up in my feed and subsequently on my wish list, and it’s been both a surprise and a delight.
Perhaps it’s my subconscious desire for a more emotionally uplifting wardrobe at this time (the same one that has drawn the fashion world into a tie-dye relapse), but dressing colorfully is starting to feel more like what I should be doing all the time and less like the exception. Of course, I haven’t taken it that far yet, but I’m definitely considering it and eyeing the below six shades in particular. To see and shop them all, simply continue on.
Tangerine
Every time I come across this color, I instantly get a smile on my face—and is there any better reason to buy or wear something?
Iris
This is a color that wasn't even on my radar until this Donni set came into my life but that I now love (in all its shades).
Hot Pink
Whether it's in the form of sweatpants or a designer bag, a pop of hot pink makes an otherwise-neutral outfit much cooler.
Powder Blue
I don't think I'll ever stop loving this color, which is one of a few that work for any season.
Lime
Aside from being jealous of my colleague Lauren's poolside hang, I'm eyeing her lime bikini top and all other pieces in this hue right now.
Baby Pink
I know what you're thinking: Two shades of pink? What can I say? The heart wants what it wants.

Since starting as an intern back in 2013, Nicole Akhtarzad Eshaghpour has held several roles here at Who What Wear, and she is currently Editor-at-Large. It was a less expected route, seeing as she was graduating from business school at USC when this all began, but it has turned out to be the best one for her. Fast-forward to 2024, and she's moved to NYC from her hometown of Beverly Hills and spends her workdays a little differently from when she was an intern starting out. Currently, she focuses on a weekly mélange of shopping content. As far as her personal style goes, she's largely drawn to classic pieces and neutral basics but will always make an exception for something colorful, printed, or bejeweled as long as it's deemed worthy enough. After all, the only thing she loves more than a good party is dressing up for one. On weekdays, she can usually be found at home eating something delicious for dinner and trying to force her husband to watch Summer House.
