I Always Wear a Dress for Date Night—Here Are 23 to Take as a Plus-One
Ellie wears a pink Gucci dress.
When it comes to date-night dressing, there are so many factors to consider. One, where are you going? Two, who are you going with? If it's a first date, it might change things. But as someone in a relationship of over six years, I tend not to focus too much on impressing (sorry, other half) and more on giving some of my favourite outfits a well-deserved night out.
And when it comes to digging a look out from the back of my wardrobe or even opting to buy something new (if it's a super special occasion), there's one item I always rely on: A dress. It cannot, I repeat, cannot fail. When it comes to choosing said dress, anything goes, but of course, I've gone on a hunt to decipher the ones actually worth buying.

One thing I've noticed is that red dresses are coming in hot—hardly surprising when it's the colour du jour. When it comes to details, cutouts have taken over from cleavage-flashing frocks, square neckline dresses and bandeaus are the universally flattering style to rely on and don't forget that you can pick between a mini, midi or maxi depending on your preferred style.
Seeing as I haven't had a date night for a few weeks, I'm seriously tempted to invest in one of these 23 dreamy dresses for the next occasion. Keep scrolling to find which styles have made my final list...
