Sometimes, it's a designer bag, pair of shoes, or article of clothing that takes an outfit from good to great. But on a rare few occasions, the star of the show is much less obvious. Case in point: Bella Hadid's black tights, which she's been wearing 24/7 since she touched down in Europe for fashion month. The supermodel arrived in Milan at the tail end of last week wearing a pair of semi-sheer black tights to the airport with a white tank top, knit shorts, and knee-high boots. Little did we know then that she'd repeat the accessory for most of her trip thus far.

Since her arrival, Hadid has styled her hosiery, which I most often buy for just $15 at Nordstrom, a total of four times, pairing the tights with miniskirts, Bermuda shorts, and knit sweaterdresses as well as stiletto, knee-high, and lace-up boots and socks with sneakers. (Talk about versatile.) And each time, the simple yet essential addition acted as the perfect last piece of the puzzle—an ever-important final touch to every one of her fashion month looks.

With much of Paris Fashion Week still to come, there's no telling how many more black-tights appearances the supermodel will throw our way. For now, might I suggest snagging yourself a pair (or more) of the tried-and-true tights below?

Shop black tights:

RATING: 4.2 out of 5 stars

REVIEW HIGHLIGHT: "I've used DKNY tights for twenty years!! I love them!! The light opaque tight is great if you prefer a bit of coverage for work year-round. The control top is moderate but is good enough for a long day at work. In addition, a very reasonable price!!!"

RATING: 3.6 out of 5 stars

REVIEW HIGHLIGHT: "These are absolutely amazing! I cocktail and wear these to keep my thighs from chafing. All other hose I've tried rip and are destroyed after one wear. I've never worn better pantyhose in my life. Trust me, they are worth the price because you will get a long life out of them. I have long, sharp nails and have never ripped these!"

RATING: 3.7 out of 5 stars

REVIEW HIGHLIGHT: "I have been buying Wolford for years. They hold up well, last for a long time, and look great!"

RATING: 4.8 out of 5 stars

REVIEW HIGHLIGHT: "Definitely a huge Skims fan. I knew I had to buy these tights when they dropped. I love how high they come up on my stomach. They hold you in but aren't as constricting as some of the other tummy-control tights on the market. Only reason I didn't give this a full five stars is because I wish the tights were less opaque."

RATING: 4.5 out of 5 stars

REVIEW HIGHLIGHT: "These are the best tights I have ever purchased! High quality material, and the control top holds everything in but is so smooth. No bunching or rolling down. Not sure if I will ever be able to go back to another brand!"

RATING: 4.4 out of 5 stars

REVIEW HIGHLIGHT: "These tights are amazing!! I took one size up, and it still fit great, and they are durable. 2 wears no holes?!? Unheard of. Buy them lol."

RATING: 4.5 out of 5 stars

REVIEW HIGHLIGHT: "My new favorite tights. They mostly remain opaque when I pull them all the way up, more so than all others. The feel of the material is neither slippery nor soft but somewhere in between. I would prefer if they were slicker and a bit shinier too. They are the same weight and weave from toe to waist, which is good, especially if you want to wear them with a miniskirt."

RATING: 5 out of 5 stars

REVIEW HIGHLIGHT: "I have to say this new brand is just killing it right now! I love the way these CONDENSATA 40 tights feel on my legs. They're extremely silky, comfortable, resilient, and SHINY! I got so many compliments from my friends when I wore these tights out because my legs were literally GLOWING! The only thing is that I wish they had more colorways! I love my CONDENSATAS!"

RATING: 4.6 out of 5 stars

REVIEW HIGHLIGHT: "I only buy these tights. I first found them at Nordstrom Rack and fell in love. I have pairs that have lasted years. I'm not very gentle, and these never tear or rip putting them on. I do always snag them on the upper left thigh with my wedding ring when I'm driving, but obviously that's on me, not the tight's fault, so that's the only reason I ever have to buy new pairs. Otherwise, they'll last forever."

RATING: 4.3 out of 5 stars

REVIEW HIGHLIGHT: "I don't wear any other tights since I started buying these. The quality and fit can't be matched by another product."
