Bella Hadid Just Wore the Perfect Skirt-and-Boot Outfit I'll Copy This Autumn
Bella Hadid is one of the most talked about celebs in the Who What Wear office. As a supermodel, philanthropist and all round IT-girl, she's never far from our thoughts, whether that's because she's closed a major show at fashion week or has been spotted in an enviable outfit on the streets of New York.
This season alone she's sparkled in sequins at Tom Ford, gone minimal (complete with umbrella) at Jil Sander and transformed into a gothic purple-adorned bride at Versace. However, its not just her runway fits that are causing a stir; her off-duty looks have also been catching our eye recently.
Bella Hadid wears a khaki midi skirt, black knee-high boots and a bomber jacket in Milan.
There is one combo that Hadid has clearly been relying on this autumn: midi skirts and knee-high boots. We've seen her in stylish suede number and tan square-toe footwear as well as cool khaki look consisting of black knee-highs, a simple skirt and a trendy bomber.
Cool, stylish and yet understated, Hadid has crafted the ultimate autumn look for those of us looking to channel off-duty model chic. Plus, it's also incredibly versatile. Investing in knee-high boots? Wear them with everything from dresses to leggings before adding a blazer. Want the midi skirt to work for the weekend? Layer with chunky knits, a wool coat and trainers. The possibilities are endless!

Luckily for us, Hadid's look is so easy to replicate, with a plethora of knee-high boots and midi skirts to be found in some of our favourite high street and designer brands' autumn/winter collections.

SHOP MIDI SKIRTS:
Play with textures and opt for a leather midi skirt. Add a chunky knit or pair with a blazer for a polished look.
How good does this flared style look with flat boots? Add knitwear and a blazer and you're set.
Burgundy looks so expensive when paired with tan, black or chocolate brown.
I love navy separates. Channel French-girl chic by wearing with a poplin shirt and knee-high boots as above.
Match a suede skirt with leather boots and knitwear for a stylish outfit.
COS's wool midi skirt will be so versatile. Choose a camel shade like Hadid for a sleek and polished look.
Hadid looks so good in her khaki outfit. Channel her style by opting for this silk dark green skirt and pairing it with other green tones.
SHOP KNEE-HIGH BOOTS:
This slouchy pair from Arket are some of the best I've seen on the high street this season.
Riding boots are having a moment. Not only will this pair look good with midi skirts, they'll also work with a trendy mini.
The block heel on this pair ensures they're both comfortable and stylish.
These feature a square toe and stiletto heel, making them a great choice for your next night out.
These are an investment but will work hard for you year-round. Wear with knitwear now and dresses in Spring.
Tan boots look lovely with autumnal florals. I'll be wearing mine with a floaty midi and cosy turtleneck.
How chic are these? Pair with a wool midi skirt and cashmere sweater for an easy yet polished look.

Poppy joined the Who What Wear UK team as managing editor in 2022. After graduating from university with a degree in English literature, she worked for a number of print and digital publications, including Women's Health, The Times, Hello! and Marie Claire. In these roles she assisted the fashion teams with print content as well as digital shopping features, shoots and celebrity news.
Prior to Who What Wear, Poppy worked at SheerLuxe as the commercial content manager. There she oversaw all paid-for site content and inclusions, managed the visual assets and briefs for branded content, and ensured all content—whether editorial or commercial—was in line with overall brand guidelines and tone. She also supported the editorial team by looking after visual merchandising on site and reviewing the brand’s daily newsletters.
As WWW UK’s managing editor, Poppy spends most of her time looking after the content calendar and all output across the brand, in addition to working with contributors, supporting with social media planning, assisting with branded content and contributing to brand strategy. Poppy prides herself on being organised, and a keen eye for detail means she oversees the production of tentpole moments such as Who What Wear’s quarterly celebrity covers, the Wedding Issue, team shoots, events, industry-facing moments, gift guides and more. In addition to this, Poppy ensures processes across the brand are efficient and effective, and is always on the lookout for ways the team can work smarter, not harder! As someone who works behind the scenes (Poppy loves a spreadsheet!), you won’t find many articles by Poppy on site, but when you do there’s no doubt they will either be focused on dresses, handbags or classic high-street buys. Or better yet, all three!
Born and raised in London, Poppy is a true city girl. When she's not thinking about clothes (or raiding her mum’s wardrobe), Poppy fills her time walking along the river with her 11-year-old labradoodle, getting stuck in a good book and enjoying as many of the city’s amazing restaurants and bars as her purse will allow! Her favourite London spots are Caravel for dinner, the Ham Yard Hotel for a fancy pre-theatre drink, Daunt Books for a new read, 26Grains for breakfast and Coal Drop's Yard for a spot of shopping.
