I'm a Fashion Expert With Classic Taste—Here's Everything on My New-Season Wish List
I think we can all agree that new season pieces are permeating our feeds and the spring wardrobe transition is now fully underway. And with every glimmer of sunshine, I'm inching further towards summery styles and the easy dresses, comfy sandals and pretty accessories in my arsenal (of which there are plenty). Premature as it may be, I've already packed away my heavy coats and have pulled out my lightweight outerwear instead, which is soon to be followed by airy materials like cotton and linen.
Although I'm an advocate for personal style, summer is a great time to broaden horizons, whether that's experimenting with new colourways and shapes or adding interest to simple looks with fun accessories and statement jewellery. But, when it comes to my favourite new-season offerings, I can't deny there's a common thread: There's a celebration of classics with a twist and even pops of colour.
What I appreciate the most about spring and summer style is the cyclical nature of hot-weather pieces and the allure of 'ageless' clothing. Come spring, pretty florals emerge for summer weddings, paler hues reappear as a nod to bright blue skies and natural fabrications dominate.
So if, like me, you're ready for summer, keep reading to see the new-season pieces that have caught my attention. From draped tops to sandals, these picks will have you dreaming of sunny days ahead.
Shop My Edit for April:
This vinyl lacquer, olive colourway and vintage box style is beautiful.
I can't stop thinking about this St Agni piece and as someone with a fairly neutral wardrobe, that's saying something.
Although Toteme is best known for refined apparel they throw contemporary wild cards thrown into the mix.
This considered swimsuit is a classic piece you'll fall back on each summer. I adore the olive hue and scooped neck.
Polène's new Mokki bag comprises fold over leather detailing, contrast stitching and polished gold adornments.
Each season, I eagerly await Tove's offerings and my favourite for Spring/Summer 2024 is this buttercup t-shirt with ruched detailing.
I'm noticing a recurring theme when it come to handbags. That is, my coveting of plush deep brown suede pieces. This Little Liffner piece certainty fits the brief.
A lightweight and neutral coloured wool top. It's a beautiful combination with the matching skirt.
