Whoa: Vogue Just Put a Blogger on the Cover for the First Time Ever

Jessica Schiffer

It was only a matter of time before Vogue took the hint from Lucky to capitalize on the massive success of style bloggers by putting one on their cover. It seems Vogue Spain will be the first to take the plunge for it’s April 2015 cover, starring none other than Chiara Ferragni, arguably the most famous blogger in the game. Ferragni made the announcement herself on her site, The Blonde Salad, writing: “I can’t really tell you how much I’m thrilled about it.”

From what we can tell, she received the full Vogue treatment, too, being photographed by the famed Nico Bustos who has previously shot the likes of Naomi Campbell and Claudia Schiffer. And lest you expected them to dial down the luxury for an Internet-birthed celeb, one image has her draped in furs next to three giant Afghan Hounds. Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper blogger cover without official hashtags: You can follow #TheBlondSaladxVogueSpain and #ChiaraVogueCover to stay in the loop on this monumental collaboration.
