All the Bags and Shoes I Love in 2020 Have One Thing in Common

Thanks to the sellout success of Daniel Lee's Bottega Veneta, the "riche-minimalist" aesthetic has been everywhere over the last 12 months, sparking multiple clean-lined iterations across both high-street and high-end brands. However, one of my favourite minimalist accessory trends to crop up this year has to be the woven look.

It might not be the flashiest style around, but we have a feeling that 2020 is going to be all about the understated accessory, which will take over from bold logos and novelty micro-bags of 2019. This is the sort of trend that would usually crop up during the summer months via rustic woven sandals and basket bags, but these new interpretations are rendered in luxe leather and will look just as good with your knitwear and jeans now as they will with your floaty frock come summer. Plus, thanks to its timeless finish, this trend is a great option if you're looking to invest in a designer piece.

From Topshop's expensive-looking woven crossbody and Charles & Keith's standout tote to Bottega's cult slides and Toga's school days-inspired T-bars, scroll down to see and shop the best woven accessories around right now.

Style Notes: Emma's Topshop woven crossbody pairs perfectly with her pared-back ensemble, plus it doubles up as a chic clutch.

Style Notes: Lisa Aiken was one of many fashion editors who championed Bottega's woven sandals this fashion week. Surely one for the fashion history books.
