All the Jaw-Dropping Red Carpet Looks From the Venice Film Festival

This summer has been jam-packed with stellar red carpet events, so we don't blame you if you've lost track. There were feather boas and thigh-high boots at the MTV Video Music Awards, ethereal dresses during Margot Robbie's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood press circuit, and hundreds of crystals at The Lion King's L.A. premiere. But now, it's time to turn our attention to Italy for the 76th annual Venice Film Festival, which begins on August 28 and runs to September 7.

Eleven glorious days of a festival packed with A-listers can only mean one thing: We're about to witness a whole lot of stellar red carpet looks. This year's Cannes Film Festival certainly set the bar high, but we have no doubt that the Venice iteration will deliver as well. Last year's event in Venice saw the likes of Lady Gaga, Dakota Johnson, and Ryan Gosling walk the red carpet, so we have high expectations for 2019. Scroll down to see the very best Venice Film Festival red carpet looks, from Iman to Sofia Richie.

Associate Director, Fashion News

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 13 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
