Fashion Editors and French Women Agree—This is the Most Elegant Summer Shoe Trend Going
As a fashion editor with a penchant for shoe trends and French style, I’m always on the lookout for the seasonal buys shaping the wardrobes of the French. Having spent some time scouring the social media pages of France’s most stylish, an emerging shoe trend quickly came to the fore, and I couldn’t keep it to myself even if I tried.
Whilst the Parisian-hailed mary janes are taking off across the rest of Europe, this season the French themselves are remaining true to the anti-trend gold sandals they’ve loved for seasons gone.
With an iridescent sparkle and a naturally elegant edge, the gold sandals trend remains a firm favourite. Lending an outfit a playful edge, without have to resort to layers of colours or a splattering of jewellery, the gold sandal trend delivers a fanciful effect with minimum effort.
Now that summer has taken the helm, there's no better time to indulge in the ultimate anti-trend buy. From sleek flat sandals to tall strappy styles, high street and designer brands are rife with this summer shoe.
Read on to discover the four gold sandal shoe trends that the French have inspired us to shop this season.
1. GOLD FLAT SANDALS
2. GOLD WEDGE HEELS
Slip into the summer spirit with these party-ready shoes.
3. GOLD LOW-HEEL SANDALS
The low heel mule trend is set to be one of the biggest of the season.
The thick heel and ankle strap detail makes these comfortable enough to wear all day.
4. GOLD HIGH HEELS
The long ties at the ankle can be adjusted to your preference.
