In case you’re new to this, today I’ll be rounding up my favorite items of the moment but with more of a personal spin than your usual shopping story. These special selects are the pieces I’ve been loving not only online, but IRL too. With a little help from my shopping-focused Instagram account, @trustmebuythis, where I share my own snaps of items I’m into at the moment, I get to both show and tell you what I’m really wearing this month. Common themes to expect? Outerwear, sweaters, boots, and jewelry—just some of the things I hoard—and, of course, a mix of high-end investment pieces and budget-friendly steals I think you’ll love. Simply to continue on to see and shop my picks.
I hate to use the word uniform, but if I were to have one, this would be the closest thing to it. The sweatshirt is the ideal cropped length for me (at 5’2”); the leather pants just make any outfit look like you tried, the bag fits in perfectly with my wardrobe of black, white, and denim; and the shoes are so comfortable but still cool.
I can’t believe it myself, but these statement heels are not just pretty—they’re so comfortable!
The latest ring in my rotation is this stackable gold chain style from Mejuri. I love how it’s actually soft like a real chain, as opposed to a stiff imposter.
I’m kind of on a blazer kick right now, and one that I’ve been wearing a lot is this comfortable, looser style from Baldwin. It’s also worth mentioning that I’m wearing it over one of my new favorite under-$100 tees by Re/Done—and I think this bag speaks for itself.
I didn’t feel like past photos of these boots did them justice, so I felt the need to share again. They’re just so cool!
If, like me, you rarely wear colors, this men’s hoodie from Gap is the best way to add a pop of color to your wardrobe without investing a ton. Highly recommended!
If you want a pair of non-basic ankle boots that will get you compliment after compliment, go for these.
Another thing I’ve been wearing a lot is leather pants. This newer pair from Paige is denim, so I’ve been styling them the same way I would a pair or jeans—i.e., with a white tee, a black purse, and black ankle boots.
