What's Your Sign? Here's a Swimsuit for That
Whether you identify as astrology-obsessed or not, I think we can all agree that reading your horoscope is always fun. There's something about being told what to avoid, what to take note of, and now even what to buy according to your astrological sign that makes our day-to-day feel that much more together. Today, we decided to align the stars and the sea by sharing which swimsuit styles you should buy according to your zodiac sign.
Since we are certainly no experts on the matter, we reached out to our resident astrologer, Natalia Benson, to find out which swimsuit styles best align with your zodiac sign this summer. Natalia broke down each of the 12 signs by a general swimsuit style or trend, and we shopped out our favorites within each category. If you've been overwhelmed by the assortment of bikinis and one-pieces this season so far, let this be your narrowed shopping guide. And, of course, if you're a Leo and like the Cancer's swimsuit better, by all means, venture out into uncharted astrological territory and buy what you please. There are no rules here, only star-driven suggestions.
Aries walk a unique line when it comes to swimwear choices. Being one of the most active signs, they definitely need something they can move around in with no fear of an “oops” moment.
Top and Contrast High Waist Bikini Brief ($13) available in sizes 12 to 20.
Venus-ruled Taurus may definitely choose to go with an inviting off-the-shoulder swimsuit. Whether a two-piece or one, think something with a little extra detail. I'm loving the off-the-shoulder trend happening right now, and I believe that's a Taurus-inspired go-to.
Top and Abbot Bottoms ($100) available in sizes XS to L.
Geminis often can go back and forth in their minds about making a firm decision. Color-blocking and the mix-and-match swimsuit trend is the perfect antidote to the sign that considers all sides.
Top and Monaco Bottoms ($49) available in sizes XS to XL.
A Cancerian typically loves the water, and being that summer is their birthday month, a suit that is elevated, on trend, and well covered checks all the boxes for a Cancer.
Sun-worshipping Leos (they are ruled by the sun, according to astrology) love a bronze-friendly bikini. Think bold colors or patterns as well, as they really help accentuate a sun-kissed glow.
Top and Floral Print Bikini Bottoms ($30) available in sizes S to L.
A well-done one-piece in gorgeous earth tones or terra-cotta would definitely be the perfect Virgo go-to. The sign appreciates high quality, attention to detail, and something well-made items, especially when baring it all in the sunshine.
Venus-ruled Libras love something beautiful and refined. Think one-pieces with incredible strap details or the two-piece with rivets or unique details that make it a one-of-a-kind.
Corset suits are gorgeous, and a Scorpio would appreciate swimwear that can toe the line between swimwear and lingerie.
Top and Edie Briefs in Black ($84) available in sizes XS to XL.
A Sagittarius definitely doesn't mind getting noticed and tends to have a flair for all things unique. Try suits with ruffle details or distinct patterns to accentuate your fiery tendencies.
Something that works in the sun and for a night out is perfect for the practical powerhouse that is Capricorn.
Knotted details and belted swimsuits are something an Aquarian will appreciate. Basically, any suit that sets them apart from oversaturated trends is a plus.
The retro swimsuit trend gracing 2018 is incredible, and the water-loving fish of the zodiac Pisces can appreciate a rejuvenation of all things past.
Top and Unique Vintage Polka Dot Bikini Bottoms ($45) available in sizes 14 to 18.
