3 Work Outfits We Always Wear to Feel Confident

Sponsor Content Created With Nine West

There’s always that one outfit that makes you feel like you can conquer the world. For some, it’s an all-red look; for others, it’s a perfect power suit. Nine West has always been our go-to for on-trend shoes that make us feel confident from the feet up, so it comes as no surprise that its suits and accessories are spot-on as well. This season, the brand has teamed up with Tyra Banks for its Groundbreakers campaign to show us how the perfect pair of shoes (or even the perfect suit) can make you feel like you can conquer the day. Here are the three outfits we have our eye on right now, inspired by Banks and her groundbreaking attitude.

Plaid + Mock Croc

Mixing prints has been our jam since we discovered that plaid and mock-croc actually look amazing together, so we’re applying it to our work look as well. Nine West’s burgundy mock-croc heel is the perfect on-trend shoe to give you a little lift before a big Monday morning meeting.

Houndstooth + Animal Print

ICYMI, houndstooth is the print of the season. Wear a tight turtleneck bodysuit under this skirt suit and mix in a loafer with a touch of leopard print. If you’re feeling extra adventurous, a bucket hat will set your look apart from the rest.

Monochrome + Tiger Print

Tiger print is also creeping up as an alternative to leopard, and we think it lends well to a monochromatic gray pantsuit. With the addition of a statement pump, your outfit pretty much screams "I’m the boss around here,” and will give you that extra bump to take on your day in style.

Natalie Cantell
Executive Director, Brand Studio

Natalie leads the style direction for the all content we create in partnership with our friends at various brands plus the legendary team of editors who work on those shoots and stories. She loves collaborating and storytelling, so it's a really fun role for her. It's also the first full-time job she's ever had! She started out in her career as a very mediocre model who agreed to her first styling job to impress a photographer she had a crush on, which led her down a happy path of contributing to Vogue Australia and working as a stylist, fashion writer, and creative director for all sorts of brands and titles. She has a bachelor of communications, but most of her career opportunities came up thanks to some fleeting and accidental street style moments. She's been at Who What Wear for three and a half years and still loves to work as a freelance consultant with brands and designers to shoot their campaigns in NYC. She's originally from New Zealand, and Bondi Beach is her second home, but like just about every other 20-something, she fell in love with New York at some point. She lives in Williamsburg with her fiancé and their weird little dog, Ruby. If you ever need reccies for feel-good fashion, legit coffee spots, politics podcasts, or non-intimidating yoga studios, she's very much your girl.
