I'm a Selective Beauty Shopper—Here's What I'd Buy From Sephora's Savings Event
If you're among the most devout beauty lovers—aka Sephora's Rouge Members who spend over $1000 annually—today is essentially the equivalent of your birthday, Christmas, Hanukkah… You get the idea. Sephora's Spring Savings Event has finally arrived, and true to tradition, Rouge members get early access to the highly anticipated savings in addition to the most significant shopping discount—a whopping 20% off your fave beauty products. And yes, the fun and games start today, April 17.
The event doesn't start until April 21 for Sephora's VIB members (who can shop 15% off) and not until April 23 for Insiders (who can shop 10% off), but Sephora is celebrating Rouge members with early access to the deals and discounts through April 20. Although, you can join your fellow Insiders and still shop the event through May 1. Here's how to prepare: In addition to parking yourself in front of your device and pouring a big cup of something highly caffeinated, you'll use code SPRINGSAVE at checkout. The offer can be redeemed an unlimited number of times between now and May 1, online only.
I don't think you'll need much help when it comes to filling your shopping carts with the retailer's best-selling skin, haircare, and makeup products, but because I'm a beauty-obsessed yet highly selective shopper, I'm including everything on my personal Sephora roster to get your juices flowing. Oh, and if you're not already a Sephora Insider and having some serious FOMO, fear not. You can still sign up for free right this second. Excited? I am. Let the games begin!
My Top Skincare Picks
When people ask me for the best eye cream or primer for brightening, I immediately launch into my obsession with Ole Henriksen's Banana Bright line. Now, it's added a new, lightweight serum into its vitamin C–spiked mix, and I'm deeming it a summertime necessity for a brighter, smoother complexion.
I'm not just saying this: Every editor (fashion and beauty alike) and celebrity I know or stalk keeps this exact retinol formula tucked into their vanity. Developed by one of the A-list's favorite facialists, Shani Darden, the line just came to Sephora, and we're all very, very excited here at WWW. Each and every formula is delicious (I'm also devoted to her Cleansing Serum, $38, and the Weightless Oil-Free Moisturizer, $48), but this is the one your skin won't be able to live without once you try it.
I down this best-selling oil-free moisturizer like water on a scorching summer day, so this newly released jumbo-size edition is a music-to-my-ears release for a number of exciting reasons. A) It will last me well into the summer, and B) the larger size is to commemorate funding four million days of school with Room to Read. It's limited-edition, so time is of the essence!
Modeled after one of the most in-demand skincare treatments (microdermabrasion), this new mask from Youth to the People is an excellent formula to add to your spring and summer skincare lineup. Strategically powered by active enzymes, micro-exfoliants, and caffeine, its main prerogative is to gift your skin with radiance and velvet-caliber smoothness in two minutes.
Summer Fridays' launches may be few and far between, but that's what makes them all the more exciting. (And pretty much every one of said launches becomes a best seller.) As someone who collects a copious number of lip balms and lip masks, this brand-new debut (which is vegan and smells like vanilla) is at the top of my list right now.
My Top Makeup Picks
As if by some kind of magic, each and every makeup launch from Kosas seems to be better than the last. I was still reeling from how damn amazing the brand's new concealer is when it surprised everyone with this glow-inducing bronzer. Since it's spring and I'm ready for sun-kissed color, I'm extremely excited to add this to my makeup repertoire. Oh, and as an added bonus, shea butter and meadowfoam oil are secretly folded into the baked formula for long-lasting hydration insurance.
Anyone who knows me will already be well-informed as to how much I adore everything from Kaja. One of my favorite products from its line is the obsession-worthy Cheeky Stamp Blendable Blush ($24), so the fact it's just launched a host of new productss—this stampable liquid highlighter and matching bronzer included—is month-making for me. (It's the little things, right?)
I'm not normally a gloss person. Unless it's Gucci gloss. Then, I am most definitely a gloss person. After the brand's exciting mascara launch a couple of months ago, this allover face-and-lip gloss is the next best step for elevating a minimalist (or maximalist!) makeup vibe. I'm getting mine now before it undoubtedly sells out.

I just can't stomach heavy lipsticks once the temperatures start to rise. Here, YSL proves (yet again) why it's one of my all-time favorite makeup brands. This new lip stain is ultra-pigmented so you can still get a juicy dose of color, but the matte finish has a lovely creamy consistency that stays put and won't make your lips look chapped or cakey.
I have this thing about Charlotte Tilbury's makeup. I love (and feel like I NEED) it all. I'm obsessed with the idea of this new double-ended eyeliner. One side is matte and one is metallic so you can create a complementary and customized eye look.
My Top Haircare Picks
When anyone asks me for my top haircare recommendation regardless of color, damage, length, etc., this cult-loved correcting treatment from Olaplex is the first formula to leave my lips. I use it once every week or two to keep my bleached blonde locks strong, and I'm convinced it's the sole reason hairstylists and colorists are in disbelief the second they realize I'm not wearing any extensions and my hair really is this long and this healthy. But, of course, it works its wonders on all hair types. The fact that it now comes in a value size is game-changing. I go through the normal size so fast!
I recently received this brand-new hair straightener from Dyson, and in total honesty, I haven't experienced a feeling so reminiscent of Christmas morning circa 1998 since, well, 1998. Yes, it's expensive, but with 20% off your purchase, now is the time to make your move. Personally, this is my absolute favorite Dyson launch yet, and I've been using it straighten, wave, and even curl my hair. It's also cord-free and inflicts 50% less breakage than whatever hair straightener is currently sitting on your bathroom counter.
In very, very exciting news, best-selling skincare brand Drunk Elephant has now dipped its toe into the hair and bodycare scene, and I am here for it. It's hard to choose from its new debuts, but this gloss-enhancing shampoo has been making my mouth froth since I first laid eyes on the press release. That said, you can also snap up the new Cocomino Marula Cream Conditioner ($25), the T.L.C. Happi Scalp Scrub ($36), and the Wild Marula Tangle Spray ($25).
I have zero patience when it comes to my hair, so this instant-gratification option from Amika has been a welcome addition to my lineup. It's designed to suit every hair type (from fine to coily) and basically transforms strands into a smooth and shiny alter ego in just one minute. Efficiency at its finest!
I don't have curly or coily hair, but this bottled miracle from Mizani is what I'm recommending to anyone who does. Its multitude of benefits include (but are not limited to) adding moisture, lending softness, minimizing frizz, protecting color, and staving off harmful UV rays from the sun. Lush coconut oil is the hero ingredient.
My Top Fragrance Picks
As much as I love what Sol de Janeiro's iconic Bum Bum Cream does for my hydration-starved skin, I've always been unapologetically infatuated with the brand's signature scent. Now, after years and years of waiting, it's finally launched the summer perfume to end all summer perfumes. Yes, it's sweet and delicious-smelling, but you won't feel like you're trapped in an ice cream shop–meets-carnival purgatory.
Warm, spicy, and with a hint of florals, this new fragrance from Ellis Brooklyn is the next best thing to physically rolling around in the sun and sand. It leads with ylang-ylang, Tahitian tiaré, and ambergris, and it's also vegan and PETA-certified cruelty-free. It's one of those scents that will improve your mood with just one whiff.
Out of Heretic's collection of Dirty fragrances (there's also Dirty Mango, Dirty Rose, Dirty Fig, and Dirty Lemon), Dirty Grass has to be my favorite. A truly unique perfume experience, the clean formula is complex and unexpected thanks to vetiver, violet leaf, fresh lemon, and yes, hemp-derived CBD for a truly cool balance between earthy and sweet.
I don't know about you, but I go absolutely wild for candles, and now more than ever, I've been burning through my stash at lightning speed. Overose (a French perfume house founded in Paris) is my newest brand obsession. This candle smells like two of my favorite scents: roses and rain. So yes, I might actually buy eight.
This beautiful stone diffuser from Vitruvi is one of my most prized possessions. In fact, I love it so much I'm buying my mom and my sister (who's also a mom!) one for Mother's Day. It comes in three different colors (blush, white, or black) so you can find a chic option regardless of your décor.
My Top Body & Wellness Picks
I adore everything about Moon Juice—from its crunchy Cumin & Chard Crisps ($7) to its pink, calm-inducing, bloat-suppressing magnesium powder. The brand's SuperYou ($49) and SuperHair ($60) are also huge favorites, which is why I couldn't be more excited to be taking (and anxiously anticipating the results from) the newest addition, SuperBeauty. Laced with the most potent antioxidants and detoxifiers, it's what my body is craving right now.
Hum is another go-to for all things supplements for me. This is its newest launch, which has your feminine health top of mind. Taking a daily dose helps maintain yeast balance, supports urinary tract health, and promotes a healthy vaginal pH and microbiome.
Body highlighter might sound like a nightmare from the early 2000s that you don't want to revisit, but Becca's new version is so pretty and subtly skin-enhancing I'd bet you change your mind. There are lots of different color options, and you can even extend your application to your complexion for more glow. Becca basically wins at all things highlighter, so yes, this another worthwhile addition to add to your collection.
I'm really missing my monthly massage appointment right now. Here's hoping this ingenious handheld device helps unfurl my knots, aches, and pains.
Oh, and in that same vein, I'll be pairing said body massager with this new CBD-spiked body butter from Josie Maran. Essentially, it's a clean, calming, non-psychoactive, CBD-infused body cream that targets stressed-out skin and keeps the skin elastic and dewy thanks to the brand's signature addition of argan oil.

Erin has been writing a mix of beauty and wellness content for Who What Wear for over four years. Prior to that, she spent two and half years writing for Byrdie. She now calls Santa Monica home but grew up in Minnetonka, Minnesota, and studied writing, rhetoric, and communication at University of Wisconsin, La Crosse. She studied abroad in Galway, Ireland, and spent a summer in L.A. interning with the Byrdie and Who What Wear family. After graduating from UW, she spent one year in San Francisco, where she worked as a writer for Pottery Barn Kids and PBteen before moving down to L.A. to begin her career as a beauty editor. She considers her day-to-day beauty aesthetic very low-maintenance and relies on staples like clear brow serum (from Kimiko!), Lawless's Lip Plumping Mask in Cherry Vanilla, and an eyelash curler. For special occasions or days when she's taking more meetings or has an event, she'll wear anything and everything from Charlotte Tilbury (the foundations are game-changing), some shimmer on her lids (Stila and Róen do it best), and a few coats of the best mascara-type product on earth, Surratt's Noir Lash Tint.
