This Is the Color Trend You'll Welcome Back to Your Closet in 6 Months

A peek at this year's NYFW street style will let you know that color is having a moment. Red, marigold, ultaviolet—nearly any color, as long as it's a bold one. But looking at the runway for the Sally LaPointe collection reassured us that we'll probably be branching out in a new direction in the future—heading straight for the metallics.
LaPointe's lineup of cozy-meets-cocktail looks included a slew of copper, gold, and steel shades that seem like a viable option for those seeking another impactful color or an upgrade to neutrals. And considering we've seen similar hues this past week from Calvin Klein, Maryam Nassir Zadeh, and Rosie Assoulin, metallics are officially ready to move in on the current technicolor palette's territory.
