Selena Gomez Wore the Winter Basic Trend Everyone Wants With Jeans and Sneakers

Selena Gomez has been busy making the press rounds to promote her new music as of late (in full designer looks, naturally), but now she's back to her usual comfortable-cool style. While out at L.A.'s Brentwood Country Mart yesterday, Gomez went with the classic combination of jeans, white sneakers, and a fleece jacket. And what she wore with it quickly confirmed what we already knew: Printed turtlenecks are rapidly rising in popularity. In fact, Who What Wear's commerce strategist Alex Flowers recently shared with us that interest in patterned turtlenecks is very high right now. Not only that, It brands like Nanushka, Ganni, and Staud are heavily endorsing them in their fall collections.

The beauty of a printed turtleneck is that you can tuck it into jeans and wear it with a blazer or jacket (à la Gomez with her sleeveless snake-print one) or layer it under a sweater or button-down on chilly days. The trend is clearly functional but far more fun than a solid-colored turtleneck, so we think the moral of the story here is that you should probably stock up. Scroll to do so.
