Is This Major '90s Trend Making a Comeback?

While some celebs are dragging their favorite summer trends straight into fall, others are looking to a throwback style that's reminiscent of the season. Model Gigi Hadid and fashion It Girl Laura Love were spotted out during day one of New York Fashion Week wearing the '90s favorite: plaid. Both ladies opted for a pair of tartan skinnies, Gigi going for a faded denim style and Laura for a cropped pants—and we never thought we'd want a pair of bright plaid pants until now.

Gigi and Laura not only made a case for the old school print, but they also showed that regardless of personal style, anyone can pull off the plaid. Laura went for classic by pairing her trousers with ladylike flats, a sleeveless turtleneck, and a cardigan draped over her shoulders. Choosing to embrace the decade which she was born in, Gigi Hadid went for a total grunge look. The top model wore a black bodysuit with her skinny jeans along with an oversize denim jacket, retro-inspired shades, a spiked choker, and strappy heels. And just like that plaid is officially model- and It Girl–approved.
