I Love a Mid-Autumn Wellness Check—16 Health and Beauty Items That Just Hit My Free People Wish List
I'm so ready to place my order.
Recently, I've been inspired to conduct a full life audit. I'm talking about clearing all digital, physical, and emotional clutter and resetting my wellness routine. Blame it on a hectic summer or the fact that daylight saving time just ended, but I'm in the mood to reset, revamp, and recalibrate. While it might not be the most conventional time to do it (that's usually reserved for the New Year), I'm not going to press pause just because it doesn't fit an imagined timeline. Actually, I think mid-autumn makes sense. Fall is, after all, a transitional season, and if anything, I'll just be ahead of the curve come January 1.
To kick things off, I headed straight to Free People, as it's one of my favorite places to shop. After spending two hours scrolling through the site, I had a 16-item-long wish list. Keep scrolling to see every health and beauty item I added to my cart, from an acupressure mat to electrolytes, bodycare, and beyond.
1. Wthn Acupressure Mat Set
I'm intrigued by acupressure, especially since I used ear seeds for the first time and felt shockingly less stressed. It was kind of wild how effective they were at reducing my anxiety. The obvious next step is to invest in an acupressure mat. This one leverages the traditional principles of acupressure with hundreds of gentle stimulators that activate specific points on the body. The brand recommends using it for 20 to 30 minutes, daily or weekly, for deep relaxation.
2. Bala Bangles
3. Bala Booty Band
4. Cure Electrolytes
I love Cure electrolytes. They're vegan, non-GMO, and gluten-free and have no added sugar or artificial ingredients. They're formulated with coconut water for potassium and pink Himalayan salt for sodium. Plus, all the flavors I've tried have been downright delicious. I can't wait to try Berry Pomegranate.
5. Therabody TheraFace Depuffing Wand
This is a hot-and-cold facial device, and you can use the temperatures interchangeably to reduce skin puffiness, improve radiance, and boost skin elasticity. It's so easy to toss in a carry-on or checked bag, which is why multiple Who What Wear beauty editors consider it an SOS skin tool for curing puffy, jet-lagged skin. I, however, will be using it to revive my dull face on cold autumn mornings.
6. Hum Nutrition Celery Juice Fiber Gummies
These gummies are the easiest way to increase your fiber and greens intake. They're formulated with celery juice, prebiotic fiber, and chlorophyll, so they give you a daily boost of vitamins A, C, B6, and K1 and folate. They also improve gut regularity, support cellular detoxification, and taste like green apple.
7. Ostrichpillow Go Neck Pillow
8. Iota Supervitamin Body Wash
9. Iota Supermatcha Body Lotion
I also need to restock my favorite body lotion. It's a 100% plant-based retinol alternative that supports firmer, smoother, and brighter skin thanks to ingredients such as matcha, rambutan, snow mushroom, caffeine, and pre- and postbiotics.
10. Wilde House Paper Manifestation Pad
11. BetterMe Stretching Kit
One of my wellness goals is to stretch more consistently. I think it's so important to do so, especially with age. This Stretching Kit is genius. It contains a foam roller to ease muscle tension and support recovery, a massage ball for hard-to-reach spots, a peanut massage ball to activate muscles, a soft yoga block for deep stretches, and long resistance bands.
12. HigherDose Red Light Showerhead Filter
My colleague Jamie Chevron penned a full review of this Red Light Showerhead Filter after using it for a little over a month. I read it and immediately added it to my cart.
13. Salt & Stone Saffron and Cedar Body and Hair Mist
14. Woo Rosehip Oil
Woo beauty oils are responsibly sourced from around the world. They function as all-in-one oils for hair, skin, and nails and feature single-ingredient, cold-pressed oils. They're designed to look like olive oil tins, which I find delightful. I added the rose hip oil to my cart since it's known for its antioxidant benefits.
15. People I've Loved A Wellness Journal
16. HigherDose Get Salty Spray
