I've been lucky enough to live in some of the most incredible cities in the world, at least in my opinion—NYC, Paris, and L.A. Each city is unique with its own local cultures and customs and, similarly, its own take on fashion. Living in each place has shown me what makes each spot known for fashion in its own right, and I picked up some ideas about how to dress along the way—with plenty of personal outfits to share.

The fashion lessons I’ve learned have stuck with me. Among them, investing in great basics, curating a tight edit of clothes to fit in small spaces, and styling casual pieces in polished ways. I always use that mindset when I’m shopping and approached it that way when taking a look at the Nordstrom sale pieces that are worth buying. Ahead, 39 that made my cut.
