I Tried 35 Fall 2019 It Items—These 7 Are Worth the Money

With fall on the horizon, there are plenty of cool fashion trends that are about to take over for the season ahead. Among them, many new It items that are poised to be the most popular fall fashion items next month. Yep, there are plenty of buzzy new pieces that will emerge everywhere on the street style scene at fashion month and on our Instagram feeds as insiders add them to their wardrobes. Many of the pieces are already dropping at retailers, so I was eager to see them in person and try them out for myself to find out which are really worth the investment.

So that’s exactly what I did and spent a few afternoons in Beverly Hills at stores dotted along Rodeo Drive and Wilshire Boulevard trying on some of the new fall arrivals for myself. Many of the pieces didn’t actually live up to the hype, but there were others I would 100% buy right now. Ahead, see the seven fall It items I think are worth the money.

1. Bottega Veneta Pumps

With an elongated square toe and chunky gold hardware, these Bottega Veneta heels check the boxes for some of fall's biggest trends and are topping my list of must-buy items for the season ahead.

I particularly love this buttercream yellow shade with a luxe faux-lizard finish. The kitten heel makes them practical and comfortable to walk in, which is always a selling point in my book.

Say hello to Lola, Burberry's latest It bag. With a quilted leather finish and gold hardware, it's a cool, modern take on a classic bag. It's the perfect everyday shoulder bag to wear anywhere from the office to dinner with friends.

You can also use it without the shoulder strap as a handheld clutch, which is how I would wear it for a dinner out with friends.

Houndstooth is poised to be one of fall's biggest prints. Manolo Blahnik's interpretation is its Maysale shoe, an instant classic that I was sold on the moment I slipped them on.

Chunky jewelry is one of the trends I'm predicting will be huge this fall, and one of my favorite iterations is this necklace from Brinker and Eliza, an up-and-coming brand you should have on your radar if you don't already. I've spotted this piece in the wardrobes of fashion insiders and know we'll see it rise to It item status as we move into fall.

Yep, hot pink heels are having a moment right now, and the trend will only get bigger in the coming months. Prada has one of the most covetable pairs to get your hands on right now, and I can attest that the pretty satin heels are as comfortable as they are showstopping and cool.

6. Louis Vuitton Dauphine Bag

In my opinion, the Louis Vuitton Dauphine bag is one of the coolest new takes on the classic LV monogram, and I want it in my closet immediately. But that isn't all—it turns out that it's one of the best investment bags to buy right now because it holds its value. While it has been popular since earlier this year, I think it has staying power and predict it will continue to be an It item this fall and beyond.

7. Zara Halter Bodysuit

Since this Zara bodysuit was spotted on Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, the store has nearly sold out. The good news? The website notes that they will be back soon, so make sure to add your name to the restock list. This affordable basic will no doubt be a staple among fashion girls this fall.
