I See You, Meryl Streep: Making Flip-Flops Look Effortlessly Chic
Paparazzi are drawn to certain celebrities like a moth to a flame, while other A-listers make a point to stay out of the spotlight. Meryl Streep definitely falls into the latter category, as it's quite rare to see her photographed outside of a red carpet or Hollywood event. Thankfully, however, we get to have our Meryl fix even during the quarantine.
Photographed in Los Angeles, Streep traded the designer gowns we're used to seeing her in for the perfect laidback end-of-summer outfit. Like a true Angeleno, she wore the easiest shoe trend in existence: flip-flops. She paired them with a flowy embroidered top and straight-leg jeans. Considering that supermodel Cindy Crawford recently wore a strikingly similar outfit, it's safe to say this combo is celeb-approved. Scroll down to shop similar pieces.

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 14 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Kate and Meghan stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible.
