Like it or not, shorts season is here—even in finally thawed NYC. And stylish resident Jennifer Lawrence is embracing it. If you're a shorts wearer like Lawrence, you probably know that figuring out which shoes to wear with them can be tricky. Wearing heels with shorts is commonly considered a faux pas, but that's not the case with every type of heel, as Lawrence just proved with her shoe-and-shorts combination of choice.
While out and about over the weekend in SoHo, Lawrence opted for a pair of tailored black shorts with a white graphic tee tucked into them and a Dior bucket hat. On her feet was a pair of simple black sandals with a low block heel. The height of the sandals (which seems to be a couple of inches at the most) is flattering but not over-the-top in the least, and the sturdy, grounded block heel always works well with short hemlines.
