Hailey Bieber Wore This Major Sandal Trend In the Most Controversial of Ways

Hailey Bieber's always-evolving style is fun to watch. The night before she wore the outfit we're going to discuss, she was in a short, pink sparkly party dress and barely-there shoes. Although it was the polar opposite of what she stepped out wearing while in New York City yesterday, it was just as interesting.

The outfit I'm here to talk about was not without some mild controversy. Bieber wore a white cropped T-shirt with baggy low-rise shorts, an article of clothing that can also be polarizing. But it was Bieber's choice of footwear that you'll likely either love or hate. She wore fisherman sandals, the reigning ugly sandal trend for the past year or so—and she opted to wear them with white ankle socks. Wearing socks with sandals was once a major faux pas, but it has become the norm these days. So whether you agree with it or not, wearing socks with sandals is technically cool now.

If Bieber has inspired you to order a pair of fisherman sandals, I've included some of my favorites below, which you can choose to wear with or without socks.
