Inspired by Mallorca—the 15 Boho-Chic Pieces From Matthew Williamson x Free People We're Loving
It's been seven years since Matthew Williamson's last fashion collection. Partnering with Free People, the British designer created a 15-piece capsule collection inspired by his travels and life in Mallorca. The collection captures his nostalgic return to fashion with a bohemian fringe sarong, striped bootcut trousers, colorful eyelet lace, and a carefree crochet bikini.
Williamson refuses to shy away from color. His aesthetic is bold, expressive, and distinctive. Shot in Deià, Mallorca by photographer Kate Bellm, the campaign effortlessly embodies Williamson's free spirit. Just before sunset, Bellm captures the bohemian nature of the collaboration with models surrounded by foliage or in caught motion.
Matthew Williamson x Free People Capsule Collection Summer 2026
An embroidered minidress paired with a sequin crochet cap, a terry-cotton shorts set in rich terra-cotta, and a tie-front duster with nature motifs are just a few of the items that make up the Matthew Williamson x Free People summer wardrobe.
Williamson's use of sunset hues and retro silhouettes taps into the boho-chic trend of summer 2026, where natural materials and effortless style dominate. For me, this confirms the authenticity and harmonious nature of the collaboration.
If the vibe is lying beachside, sipping a piña colada, then Matthew Williamson x Free People is the attire. Scroll on to shop the complete collection, from printed scarves to a low-rise skort to a floral maxi dress to an oversize tote.
