November 30 always has that “when the clock strikes midnight” effect—my brain immediately goes into full-blown winter shopping mode for December 1, which happens to fall on Cyber Monday this year. Living in NYC, I feel the need to use the sales to prep for the season ahead.
Right now, the markdowns are still going strong off the back of Black Friday: Nordstrom has up to 60% off (plus up to 40% off designer clearance), COS is 25% off sitewide, J.Crew is 50% off, Gap is 50% off sitewide, Banana Republic is 40% off full price, Aritzia is 20–50% off, and Reformation is 25% off everything. Cyber Monday feels like the final day to snag these discounts before they disappear.
I scrolled through tons of retailers to find the best cozy winter basics—cashmere sweaters, Uggs, satin pants, sweatpants, and cold-weather accessories—all on sale for Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Cashmere Sweaters
I've been expanding my sweater collection, including cashmere ones from J.Crew (now 30% off) and Aritzia (currently offering 20–50% off everything). I've been loving having a range of silhouettes for variation, such as high v-necks, boatnecks, turtlenecks, and crewnecks.
Uggs
Living on the East Coast, Uggs just feel inevitable. Every editor I know has a pair, and they’re known for being the coziest winter shoe for a reason—from the on-sale Tasman X to the Classic Ultra Mini.
Satin Pants
Satin and silk pants have been trending—they’re comfortable yet still look elevated. The popular Fluid Bias Pant by Vine was styled in The Great Try-On Fall 2025 in the Rose Jam colorway. Reformation is well known for their versions, too.
Sweatpants
For sweatpants, I recommend starting with Gap’s CashSoft line, which is currently 50% off for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. J.Crew has pairs for 50% off, and Nordstrom has options marked down up to 60% off.
Accessories
Cold-weather accessories can make or break your warmth in the winter. I’ll be using the sales to shop for a cashmere hood, tech gloves, earmuffs, and an alpaca fur hat.
