The Sunglasses Trend Every Fashion Insider Is Wearing In 2026
In 2026, accessories are in full focus. We’ve already charted the rise of belts with high-impact buckles—a trend that will dominate this year with in-demand styles from brands including Celine and Dior. Now, though, we’re seeing more and more evidence that oversize sunglasses are one of the key accessories to invest in. The styles are finished with giant frames in rounded, oval, or rectangular shapes. Some feel like upsized proportions of designs from past seasons, while others are decidedly eccentric.
The oversize sunglasses recall the styles famously worn by Jackie O, who made them a signature piece in her wardrobe throughout the 1960s and 1970s. They were also a favorite of Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen in the 2000s. Since then, we’ve seen them shrink away from the fashion scene in favor of smaller, more discreet glasses but the giant frames are now more dominant than every amongst style insiders. Ahead, shop our edit of the top oversize sunglasses to add to your shopping cart.
