Although I'm a crazy handbag lady, I have a confession to admit: I'm quite boring when it comes to my purses. I have at least a dozen handbags, and nearly all of them are in boring shades like black and brown. Sure, they're easier to style than other handbag hues, but sometimes, when I want to inject a bit of color into my spring outfits, I'm craving adding another handbag in my collection—one that feels vibrant, fresh, and fun.

After a bout of doom-scrolling on social media for spring outfit inspiration, I noticed a trend: all the outfits I'd saved, bookmarked, or pinned all had colorful bags in common. From punchy cherry reds to soft matcha latte sage greens, color-forward handbags were popping up everywhere—and instantly making otherwise simple outfits look ten times more interesting.

It got me thinking: maybe the easiest way to shake up my wardrobe this season isn't buying a whole new closet, but simply swapping my go-to neutral bag for something brighter. While brown and black handbags will always have a place in my closet, these eight vibrant handbag colors are stealing the spotlight instead in 2026.
