Bye, White T-Shirts—Fashion People Are Convinced This Cooler Alt Looks Better With Jeans
We have nothing against white T-shirts. They're a timeless classic for a reason. It's just… they aren't that exciting. They don't add anything new to an outfit. Instead, they're better for grounding louder pieces or statement trends. If you're trying to put together an exciting look with jeans, T-shirts aren't necessarily what you gravitate towards. But fashion girls have found a solution: graphic tees.
Graphic tees were everywhere in the 2000s. From Juicy Couture shirts with the word "Shopaholic" printed on the front to Britney Spears's inspiration and iconic "Dump Him" shirt, they were nonserious ways to say something with what you were wearing. It could be cheeky or nonsensical. The weirder and more ironic, the better.
But as with all trends from the 2000s, the graphic tee took a back seat to more classic minimalist styles. Since we're now seeing the fun fashion pendulum swing back as maximalism rises, graphic tees are having a moment again. And they're the best thing to wear with jeans right now.
